Frequently asked questionsHonest answers to
the questions that matter
Choosing care is a big decision. If your question isn't answered here, call us. We'd rather talk it through with you.
Who does Alliance Group Home serve?
We serve adults in Minneapolis and the Twin Cities metropolitan area who benefit from a supportive residential setting, including those who need daily living assistance, medication management, behavioral and mental health support, oxygen therapy, or 24-hour customized living support. Every situation is unique, so the best first step is a conversation: call 612-281-0077 and tell us about yours.
Can we tour the home before deciding?
Yes, and we strongly encourage it. Visit in person, meet the caregivers who would be caring for your loved one, see the bedrooms and common spaces, and stay for a meal if you like. Tours are free, unhurried, and carry no obligation. Schedule one here.
Is someone available at night or in an emergency?
Yes. The home is staffed 24 hours a day, every day of the year. In addition, our emergency line (612-281-0077) is answered after regular hours, so families can always reach us.
How are care plans created?
Every resident receives an individualized care plan. We build it together with the resident, their family, their healthcare providers, and their case manager. It covers daily routines, health needs, medications, dietary preferences, activities, and personal goals. Plans are living documents: as needs change, the plan changes with them.
Who provides the care?
Our caregivers are professionally certified and trained, and hand-selected to embody our values of honor, integrity, respect, and compassion. Care is direct and personal, from a team that pairs real warmth with medical knowledge.
What does daily life look like?
Like home. Home-cooked meals shared together, housekeeping taken care of, activities and outings on the calendar, transportation to appointments, and quiet comfortable spaces when residents want time to themselves. We're a place to live and socialize.
Can family visit?
Always. Family involvement is welcomed and encouraged. This is your loved one's home, and you are always welcome in it. We also keep families informed with open, honest communication.
How do we get started?
Three simple steps: call us or send a message, tour the home, and if it feels right, we'll work with you to build the care plan and arrange a smooth move-in. No pressure at any step.
How is my personal and health information handled?
Carefully and confidentially. We treat resident health information in accordance with applicable privacy laws, including HIPAA, and our website is designed to collect the minimum information necessary. See our Privacy & Cookie Policy and HIPAA notice for details.
